Patrycja Pi Pa Piwosz is an artist-researcher working at the intersection of sculpture, installation, performance and costume design. She designs speculative ecosystems: living, mutable structures that develop according to the logic of autopoiesis, in which matter remains in a constant process of transformation. In her practice she explores the potential of discarded textiles, reclaimed materials and biomaterials, treating them not as waste but as active co-creators of new forms of existence.

Her work reflects on the memory of matter, regeneration and the relations between humans and the environment, proposing alternative models of making beyond the logic of overproduction. She combines sculptural experiment with a way of thinking about the object as an organism, one that is open to change, growth and reconfiguration.

In 2021 she received her PhD in Art from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, having completed a Master’s degree in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań in 2008. She is a recipient of awards and scholarships from Stiftung Berliner Leben, the City of Poznań, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the National Recovery Plan for Culture (KPO). Her work is held in the collection of the National Museum in Poznań.

She has shown her work at exhibitions, biennials and festivals in Germany, the Netherlands, China, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Lithuania and Romania. In parallel, she develops a performative and scenographic practice, co-creating international theatre projects in Europe and China. In 2026 she is undertaking the Fresh A.I.R. artist residency in Berlin.
